The new slip roads will be trunk roads. Together, the new slip roads and the new side roads will constitute a grade-separated (two-level) junction the construction of which will enable the Secretary of State to close the existing A1 junctions at Jockey Lane / Cross Lane and High Street / Coalpit Lane.",
