# The A249 Iwade Bypass Order 1992, Paragraph 1


A route about 5.4 kilometres in length, starting at a point on the eastern boundary of the trunk road 820 metres north east of its junction with Key Street and proceeding eastwards to, and including, a new roundabout just south of Bobbing County Primary School; then continuing generally northeastwards through open country between Howt Green and Kemsley, and east of Iwade; and then running parallel with the western boundary of the Sittingbourne to Sheerness railway line to, and including, a new roundabout just south of the trunk road at its northernmost junction with Old Ferry Road, before rejoining the trunk road at a point approximately 150 metres west of Swale Halt railway station.
