The route of the new trunk road is a route at the Daglingworth Quarry Junction in the District of Cotswold in the County of Gloucestershire as follows:—

A route approximately 700 metres in length from a point 177 metres northwest of the junction of the A417 Trunk Road with Dowers Lane (3/189) southeastwards for a distance of 290 metres, then southwestwards for a distance of 130 metres and then northwestwards for a distance of 280 metres.
