The Welsh Ministers have given public notice of their intention to make this Order in accordance with section 83(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. ## 1 Title and commencement The title of this Order is the A483 Trunk Road (Welshpool, Powys) (Derestriction) Order 2026 and this Order comes into force on 4 September 2026. ## 2 Interpretation In this Order “the trunk road” (“y gefnffordd”) means the A483 Swansea to Manchester trunk road. ## 3 Derestriction The length of the trunk road northeast of Welshpool, from a point 185 metres southwest of the centre-point of its junction with the A458 Salop Road to a point 183 metres northeast of the centre-point of its junction with the A458 Salop Road, in the County of Powys, shall cease to be a restricted road for the purposes of section 81 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. ## Signature Signed on behalf of the Deputy Minister for Transport, acting under the authority of the Cabinet Minister for Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy, one of the Welsh Ministers.
