The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered HA10/2WM176–1, marked “The A5 Trunk Road (Nesscliffe Bypass) Order 1999”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and deposited at the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Ashdown House, Zone 2, Room 2/A4, 123 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6DE.
