Article 2

In this Order—

(1)

all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(2)

(i)

“the main roads” means the new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the routes described in the Schedule to this Order;

(ii)

“the new trunk roads” means the main new roads; and

(iii)

“the plan” means the plan in the folio numbered HA 10 YHCPD 73, marked “The A63 Trunk Road (Selby Fork and Boot and Shoe Junctions) Order 1999”, sighed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and deposited at the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Great Minster House, 76 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DR; and

(iv)

“the A63” means the A63 Trunk Road.
