# The Abuse Redress Rules 2026, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force in accordance with rule 1(2)
The Rule Committee, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 4 (4), 7 (1) and (2), 8 (1), (2) and (4), 9 (1), (3), (8) and (9), 10 (2), (8) and (9), 12 (3) and (6) to (9), 15 (1), 16 (1), 17 (1), 18 (3) and (5), 20 (1), 21 (6), 22 (1), 26 (4) and (5), 27 (3) and 29 (1) to (4) and (7) of the Abuse Redress Measure 2025, makes the following Rules.
