Paragraph 3 Step 3
(1)
Step 3 is—
(a)
to rank the severity of the impact of the abuse on the applicant, and
(b)
using the following table, to add to the Step 2 sum the amount specified in the second column that corresponds to the ranking specified in the first column for the severity of the impact of the abuse as mentioned in paragraph (a)—

In making the ranking under sub-paragraph (1)(a), the redress body must apply the criteria specified in the assessment framework.
(3)
The sum resulting under sub-paragraph (1)(b) is referred to as “the Step 3 sum” and is the amount of the redress payment, subject to—
(a)
any payment determined under Step 4, and
(b)
if applicable, any adjustment under Step 5.
