# The Academies (Land Transfer Schemes) Regulations 2012, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 21 of Schedule 1 to the Academies Act 2010 and section 569(4) of the Education Act 1996.
