# The Accounts and Reports (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, Paragraph 20: Amendment to the Building Societies Act 1986

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

In the Building Societies Act 1986 —
(a) in section 72A(4) (duty to prepare individual accounts) , before “regulated market” insert “ UK ”;
(b) in section 72E(5) (duty to prepare group accounts) , before “regulated market” insert “ UK ”; and
(c) in section 81B(1) (interpretation of Part 8) , for the definition of “regulated market” substitute—
““UK regulated market” has the meaning given in Article 2.1.13A of Regulation (EU) No. 600/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 and amending Regulation (EU) No. 648/2012.”.
