# The Action Programme for Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2009, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations implement Commission Decision 2009/431/ECgranting derogation to England, Scotland and Wales pursuant to Council Directive 91/676/EECconcerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. They do so by amending the Action Programme for Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (Scotland) Regulations 2008.
They also correct minor errors in the tables in Schedules 1 and 3 to those Regulations.
