Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

These Rules may be cited as the Adopted Persons (Contact Register)(Fees) Rules 1991 and shall come into force on 1st May 1991.

In these Rules—

  • “the Act” means the Adoption Act 1976;

  • “the register” means the Adoption Contact Register maintained by the RegistrarGeneral under section 51A(1) of the Act.
