  "text": "In regulation 5A of the Adoption Agencies Regulations 1983 (tenure of office of members), after paragraph (1), there is inserted —\n“(1A) Where —\n(a) a member of an adoption panel holds office and is in his second consecutive term as a member of that panel; and\n(b) his term of office is due to expire on or after 31st October 2003,\nthe adoption agency may extend the term of office of that member for a further period not exceeding two years.”.",
