# The Adoption Agencies (Amendment) Regulations 2003, Regulation 2: Amendment of regulation 5A of the Adoption Agencies Regulations 1983


In regulation 5A of the Adoption Agencies Regulations 1983 (tenure of office of members), after paragraph (1), there is inserted —
“(1A) Where —
(a) a member of an adoption panel holds office and is in his second consecutive term as a member of that panel; and
(b) his term of office is due to expire on or after 31st October 2003,
the adoption agency may extend the term of office of that member for a further period not exceeding two years.”.
