# The Adoption Agencies Regulations 1983, Regulation 2: Approval of adoption societies


(1) An application to the Secretary of State under section 4 of the 1975 Act (approval of adoption societies) shall be made in writing on a form supplied by the Secretary of State.
(2) An unincorporated body of persons shall not apply for approval under section 4 of the 1975 Act.
