# The Adoptions with a Foreign Element Regulations 2005, Regulation 12: Application of Chapter 1

Extent: E+W

The provisions in this Chapter shall apply where a couple or a person, habitually resident in the British Islands, wishes to adopt a child who is habitually resident in a Convention country outside the British Islands in accordance with the Convention.
