# Agricultural Research Act 1956 (repealed 19.11.1998), Section 2: Short title, commencement and extent.

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(1) This Act may be cited as the Agricultural Research Act, 1956.
(2) This Act shall come into force on the first day of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-six.
(3) Without prejudice to any powers conferred on the Agricultural Research Council by their charter as for the time being in force, subsection (1) of section one of this Act shall not extend to Northern Ireland.
