  "long_title": "These Regulations, which come into force on 19th April 1978, amend section 109(3) of, and paragraph 3(1)(b) of Schedule 2 to, the Agriculture Act 1947 by substituting for references therein to areas expressed in imperial units references to areas expressed in metric units. The effect of the substitutions is (a) in section 109(3), relating to the definition of an allotment garden, to reduce slightly the maximum area of land which can constitute an allotment garden for the purpose of that Act, and which consequently cannot be designated as agricultural land (the metric equivalent of one-quarter acre being 0.1012 hectare), and (b) in paragraph 3(1)(b) of Schedule 2, to change the terminology.",
