Regulation 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1)

These Regulations may be cited as the Air Quality Standards (Amendment) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 31st December 1995.

These regulations amend the Air Quality Standards Regulations 1989^f1 (“the 1989 Regulations”) which implemented Council Directives 80/779/EEC, on air quality limit values and guide values for sulphur dioxide and suspended particulates^f2, and 85/203/EEC, on air quality standards for nitrogen dioxide^f3.
