Regulation 2 Limit values for sulphur dioxide and suspended particulates in the atmosphere

The Secretary of State shall take any appropriate measures to ensure that the concentrations of sulphur dioxide and suspended particulates in the atmosphere measured in accordance with regulation 3 do not exceed the limit values given in Annex I to Council Directive No. 80/779/EEC on air quality limit values and guide values for sulphur dioxide and suspended particulates^f1 (“the sulphur dioxide and suspended particulates Directive”).

Paragraph (1), insofar as it applies to suspended particulates, shall not apply to the areas specified in the Schedule until 1st April 1993.
