# The Air Quality Standards (Wales) Regulations 2010, Regulation 3: Designation of competent authority

The Welsh Ministers are designated as the competent authority for the purposes of Directive 2008/50/EC (other than for the purpose specified in Article 3(f) of that Directive) and for the purposes of Directive 2004/107/EC.
