Section 17 Diversion of flow of water

Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Corporation may by means of the works divert, abstract, intercept, stop up or otherwise interfere with the waters or the flow of water in the river or the navigation or in any other watercourse which may be intercepted by the said works or any of them.

The restriction imposed by subsection (1) of section 24 of the Act of 1991 shall not apply to abstraction of water under subsection (1) above.
