# The Airports (Groundhandling) Regulations 1997, Regulation 8: Prohibition of restrictions

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

Save as otherwise provided in these Regulations, the managing body of an airport shall take the necessary measures to—
(a) ensure free access by suppliers of groundhandling services to the market for the provision of groundhandling services to third parties; and
(b) ensure the freedom to self-handle.
