# The Airports Slot Allocation (Amendment) Regulations 2011, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st August 2011
The Secretary of State is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to air transport.
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.
