# The Airports Slot Allocation (Second Amendment) Regulations 1994

These Regulations further amend the Airports Slot Allocation Regulations 1993 by amending the definition of “the Council Regulation” in regulation 2(1) so as to take into account the amendment of the Annexes to the EEA Agreement done by the Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No. 7/94 (regulation 2).

The Secretary of State for Transport, being a Minister designatedfor the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972in relation to matters relating to the allocation of take off and landing slots for aircraft at airports, in exercise of the powers conferred by tht section hereby makes the following Regulations:

## 1 

These Regulations may be cited as the Airports Slot Allocation (Second Amendment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 1st July 1994.

## 2 

In regulation 2(1) of the Airports Slot Allocation Regulations 1993, in the definition of “the Council Regulation”, for the words “Council Decision 93/453/EEC concerning the amendment of the Agreement between the European Economic Community, the Kingdom of Norway and the Kingdom of Sweden on civil aviation” there shall be substituted the words “the EEA Agreementas amended by the Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No. 7/94 of 21 March 1994”.

## 3 

In regulation 2(1) of the Airports Slot Allocation Regulations 1993, after the definition of “the Council Regulation” there shall be inserted the following—
“and
“the EEA Agreement” means the Agreement on the European Economic Area signed at Oporto on 2nd May 1992 as adjusted by the Protocol signed at Brussels on 17th March 1993.”.
