# The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulations 2017, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 9th October 2017
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purpose of that section in relation to energy and energy sources.
