# Animals (Penalty Notices) Act 2022, Section 9: Extent, commencement and short title

Extent: E+W

(1) This Act extends to England and Wales only.
(2) Sections 1(2) to (5), 2(2) and (3), 4(3) and (4), 7 and 8 and this section come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which this Act is passed.
(3) The other provisions of this Act come into force on such day or days as the Secretary of State may by regulations made by statutory instrument appoint.
(4) This Act may be cited as the Animals (Penalty Notices) Act 2022.
