# The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (Amendment) Regulations 1998, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 8th August 1998
Coming into force 5th September 1998
The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to the protection of animals used for experimental and other scientific purposes, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by that section, hereby makes the following Regulations, a draft of which has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:
