  "text": "(1) The Cruelty to Animals Act 1876 is hereby repealed.\n(2) The enactments mentioned in Schedule 3 to this Act shall have effect with the amendments there specified, being amendments consequential on the provisions of this Act.\n(3) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(4) Schedule 4 to this Act shall have effect with respect to the transitional matters there mentioned.\n(5) The Secretary of State may by order make such further transitional provisions as he considers necessary or expedient.",
