  "heading": "Short title, interpretation and commencement.",
  "text": "(1) This Act may be cited as the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.\n(2) In this Act—\n...\n...\n“ personal licence ” means a licence granted under section 4 above;\n“ place ” includes any place within the seaward limits of the territorial waters of the United Kingdom, including any vessel other than a ship which is not a British ship;\n“ project licence ” means a licence granted under section 5 above;\n“ protected animal ” has the meaning given in section 1 above but subject to any order under subsection (3) of that section;\n“ regulated procedure ” has the meaning given in section 2 above.\n“section 2C licence” means a licence granted under section 2C.\n(2A) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(3) This Act shall come into force on such date as the Secretary of State may by order appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions or different purposes.",
