# The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act (Fees) Order 1992, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order, which does not extend to Northern Ireland, prescribes the fees payable by the holders of certificates under section 6 of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (scientific procedure establishments) and under section 7 of the Act (breeding and supplying establishments).
For scientific procedure establishments the fee is made up of £120 plus £108 for each personal licensee whose place or primary availability is the establishment in question. This represents an increase of £10 in respect of establishments and of £9 in respect of personal licensees. For a breeding and supplying establishment which is not also a scientific procedure establishment the fee is increased by £45 to £545.
The Order also revokes the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act (Fees) Order 1990 which it replaces.
