# The Antarctic Act 1994 (Commencement) Order 1997, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st June 1997 Section 5 of the Antarctic Act 1994. The section makes provision for permits for British vessels and aircraft entering Antarctica.
