# The Antarctic (Amendment) Regulations 1998, Introduction: Introductory text


ANTARCTICA
Made 19th March 1998
Laid before Parliament 8th April 1998
Coming into force 1st May 1998
The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in exercise of his powers under sections 9(1), 10(1), 11(1), 14(1), 15(c), 25(1) and (3) and 32 of the Antarctic Act 1994, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
