# The Antarctic (Amendment) Regulations 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 29th December 2008
The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9(1), 10(1), 14(1), 25(1) and (3) and 32 of the Antarctic Act 1994:
