# The Antarctic (Jersey) Regulations 1997, Introduction: Introductory text


ANTARCTICA
Made 10th December 1997
Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 9(1), 10(1), 11(1), 14(1), 25(1) and (3), 29 and 32 of the Antarctic Act 1994, together with the definition of “regulations” in section 31(1) of that Act, as that Act has effect in the Bailiwick of Jersey by virtue of the Antarctic Act 1994 (Jersey) Order 1995, I hereby make the following Regulations:
