  "text": "(1) Section 1 of this Act shall not be taken to be contravened by anything done, or attempted to be done, by any person in accordance with a permit issued in respect of him—\n(a) under this Act, or\n(b) by or on behalf of one of the other Contracting Parties,\nif it is done or attempted at a time when that permit is in force and in compliance with any conditions or limitations to which the permit is subject.\n(2) Without prejudice to the preceding subsection, where a person is charged with an offence under section 1 of this Act, it shall be a defence to prove that the act in question was done or attempted in a case of extreme emergency involving possible loss of human life or the safety of a ship or aircraft.",
