  "heading": "Reimbursement of expenditure",
  "text": "(1) The sheriff may, on the application of the Scottish Police Authority or a local authority, make such order as the sheriff considers appropriate for the reimbursement by a relevant person of relevant expenditure.\n(2) An application under this section may not be made after the expiry of the period of 3 months beginning with the day on which the closure order ceases to have effect.\n(3) An application under this section shall be served—\n(a) where the application is made—\n(i) by a local authority, on the Scottish Police Authority;\n(ii) by the Scottish Police Authority, on the local authority for the area in which the premises are situated; and\n(b) on the relevant person.\n(4) In this section—\n“relevant person” means the owner of the premises in respect of which the order has (or had) effect; and\n“relevant expenditure” means expenditure incurred by the applicant for the purpose of clearing, securing or maintaining the premises in respect of which the closure order has (or had) effect.",
