# The Armed Forces Act 1996 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1996, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st October 1996 the provisions of the Armed Forces Act 1996 referred to in article 2. Sections 1, 34 and 36 came into force on Royal Assent.
