  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order brings into force on 1st April 1997 the provisions of the Armed Forces Act 1996 referred to in article 2.\nThe following provisions of the Act have been brought into force before the date of this Order:\nProvision\nDate of Commencement\nAuthority\nss 1, 34 and 36\n24 July 1996\nRoyal Assent\nss 2, 6 and 7, 11 to 14 and Sch 4, ss 18 and 19, 30 to 33, 35, Sch 6 (partially) and Sch 7 (partially)\n1 October 1996\nS.I. 1996/2474 (C. 65)",
