Regulation 7 Prohibition of products containing chrysotile

(1)

Subject to paragraph (2) below, the supply and use of any product containing chrysotile described in the Schedule to these Regulations is prohibited.

(2)

Paragraph (1) above shall not apply to the use of—

(a)

any product which was in use before 1st January 1993 except that that paragraph shall apply to any such product the use of which was prohibited by the Asbestos (Prohibitions) Regulations 1985^f1 as in force immediately before the coming into force of these Regulations;

(b)

any activity in connection with the disposal of any such product.
