Article 1 Citation, commencement, interpretation and extent

This order may be cited as the Ashworth Hospital Authority (Abolition) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

(2)

In this Order—

  • “the Act” means the National Health Service Act 1977;

  • “the Authority” means the Ashworth Hospital Authority established by the Authorities for the Ashworth, Broadmoor and Rampton Hospitals (Establishment and Constitution) Order 1996f1;

  • “the Trust” means the Mersey Care National Health Service Trustf2.
