  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend paragraph (2) of regulation 10 of the Asylum Support Regulations 2000 by increasing from £26.60 to £30.95 the total redemption value, for any week, of asylum support in the form of vouchers redeemable for goods, services and cash which may be expected, as a general rule, to be provided weekly under section 95 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 in respect of the essential living needs of a person aged under 16. This increase will take effect on 4th December 2000.\nThis amendment reflects an identical increase in the amount of certain income related social security benefits applicable in respect of a person of that age under the Social Security Amendment (Personal Allowances for Children) Regulations 2000.",
