# The Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2023, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 15th January 2024
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers in section 95(12) of, and paragraphs 1 and 3(a) of Schedule 8 to, the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
