# The Asylum Support (Repeal) Order 2002, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 21st March 2002
Coming into force 8th April 2002
Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 96(5) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
