  "heading": "Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 (c. 55)",
  "text": "(1) The Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 is amended as follows.\n(2) In section 24 (alternative verdicts)—\n(a) in subsection (A2)—\n(i) omit the “and” at the end of paragraph (c);\n(ii) after paragraph (c) insert—\n“(ca) an offence under section 3C of that Act (use of automated vehicle in dangerous state),\n(cb) an offence under section 3D of that Act (causing death, or serious injury, by use of automated vehicle in dangerous state),\n(cc) an offence under section 22B of that Act (causing danger to road-users resulting in automated vehicle killing or seriously injuring),\n(cd) an offence under section 34B of that Act (use of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight),\n(ce) an offence under section 34C of that Act (causing death, or serious injury, by use of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight), and”;\n(b) in the table in subsection (1), at the appropriate places insert—\n“\nSection 3D (causing death, or serious injury, by use of automated vehicle in dangerous state)\nSection 3C (use of automated vehicle in dangerous state)\n”;\n“\nSection 22B (causing danger to road-users resulting in automated vehicle killing or seriously injuring)\nSection 22A (causing danger to road-users)\n”;\n“\nSection 34C (causing death, or serious injury, by use of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight)\nSection 34B (use of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight)\n”.\n(3) In the table in Schedule 1 (offences to which sections 1, 6, 11 and 12(1) apply), at the appropriate places insert—\n“\nRTA section 3C\nUse of automated vehicle in dangerous state.\nSections 1, 11 and 12(1) of this Act.\n”;\n“\nRTA section 3D(1)\nCausing death by use of automated vehicle in dangerous state.\nSection 11 of this Act.\nRTA section 3D(2)\nCausing serious injury by use of automated vehicle in dangerous state.\nSections 11 and 12(1) of this Act.\n”;\n“\nRTA section 34B\nUse of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight.\nSections 1, 11 and 12(1) of this Act.\n”;\n“\nRTA section 34C(1)\nCausing death by use of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight.\nSection 11 of this Act.\nRTA section 34C(2)\nCausing serious injury by use of road vehicle without a driver or licensed oversight.\nSections 11 and 12(1) of this Act.\n”",
