# The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, Regulation 57: Amendment of Annex 1 to Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011


(1) Annex 1 (Part-FCL) is amended as follows.
(2) In Subpart A (general requirements)—
(a) omit point FCL.015(e);
(b) in point FCL.055(b), in both places the words occur, for “a competent authority” substitute “the CAA”;
(c) in point FCL.055(e), for “any competent authority” substitute “the CAA”.
(3) In Subpart H (class and type ratings), in point FCL.725(d), for “competent authority” substitute “CAA”.
(4) In Subpart J (instructors), in point FCL.900(b)(1)—
(a) for “competent authority” substitute “CAA”;
(b) for “Member States” substitute “United Kingdom”.
(5) In Appendix 9, in point A.17(c), omit “applicants’”.
