# The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2025, Regulation 3: Amendment of Article 3 of Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011


(1) Article 3 (pilot licensing and medical certification) is amended as follows.
(2) For paragraph 4, substitute—
“4. The SSEA, SLMG and TMG refer to the aircraft defined in Schedule 1 to the Air Navigation Order 2016, and SEP refers to a single-engine piston aeroplane.”.
(3) After paragraph 4 insert—
“5. After 1 October 2025 the CAA must not issue the LAPL(A) under this Regulation.”.
