# The Banking Act 1987 (Exempt Transactions) Regulations 1997, Regulation 2: Exempt transactions


The transactions referred to in the following regulations are prescribed for the purposes of section 4(4) of the Act as transactions to which the prohibition in section 3 of the Act on the acceptance of a deposit does not apply. Such transactions are referred to in these Regulations as “exempt transactions”.
