  "text": "(1) The Consumer Credit Act 1974 shall be amended as follows.\n(2) In section 16(1) (consumer credit agreements with certain bodies exempt from regulation) after paragraph (g) there shall be inserted\n“, or\n(h) an authorised institution or wholly-owned subsidiary (within the meaning of the Companies Act 1985) of such an institution.”.\n(3) In section 16(3) (Secretary of State’s duty to consult before making orders) after paragraph (e) there shall be inserted\n“or\n(f) under subsection (1)(h) without consulting the Treasury and the Bank of England.”.\n(4) In section 189(1) (definitions) after the definition of “association” there shall be inserted—\n““authorised institution” means an institution authorised under the Banking Act 1987;”.",
