# The Bathing Water (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2018, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 21st May 2018
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
The Secretary of State is designated for the purposes of that section of that Act in relation to the environment.
